Confirmation Email

  • If you don't receive the confirmation email within 30 minutes of registering, please submit a support ticket and we'll resend it.

    When submitting your ticket, select "Site Support / Help" as the contact reason, enter the email address you used when registering and in your message include your ITNewb nickname.

    NOTE: ITNewb uses 1-way encryption to protect passwords, so we don't know the password the system generated for you. We'll have to manually reset your password and include the new one in the confirmation email.

    Should you receive the original system generated confirmation email, please disregard and delete it (as the password will no longer be valid).

Account Deactivation

Deactivation Explained

  • When you deactivate your account, no one will be able to access your profile, friends list or profile shouts. They won't be able to message you, invite you to be friends, write on your profile, save you to their favorites etc. Your friendships and content will, however, remain intact unless you sever those friendships and delete your content.

    If you do go through with deactivation, please be aware that you'll no longer be able to login or reset your password. You'll remain completely locked out unless you submit a reactivation request and still have access to the email address we have on file or your account code.

  1. Submit a support ticket requesting deactivation.
  2. We'll respond and ask for confirmation.
  3. After receiving confirmation, we'll deactivate your account.

Account Reactivation

Submitting Reactivation Request

  1. Submit a support ticket requesting reactivation. In your message, let us know whether we should verify your the owner via the email on file or via the account code. If it's the account code, be sure and include the code in your message.
  2. We'll respond asking for confirmation of reactivation if we were able to verify you, otherwise we'll notify you why we were unable to verify you as the owner.
  3. After receiving confirmation, we'll reactivate your account and notify you with login instructions.
